![]() ![]() It’s annoying to have to press CTRL + ALT + DEL every time I open the game, but at least it works. The black box disappeared and the game was running perfectly fine. Then one time I decided to press CTRL + ALT + DEL to open the task manager. For this option, all you need is to download the Widescreen Patcher from Faith Beam on Github. Unwilling to give up, I accidentally figured out a solution.Įvery time I would exit the game to make the black box go away, I would right click my sidebar and open the task manager to force it to close. This patch will also only work with The Sims Complete Collection. I searched everywhere for a solution, but since the game is so old, not many people play, so no one has talked about the issue. The funny part is that the game is actually running behind that box. Not only does it not go away while the game is running,īut it covers absolutely anything you try to do while the game is running. Have you tried playing Sims Complete Collection in windowed mode on Windows 8.1? If so, you’ve probably had this issue that forced you back to playing full screen. ![]()
